About Us

CPACS Timeline

CPACS/Cosmo is a Community Health Center dedicated to providing excellent primary care services. Community Health Centers (or Federally Qualified Health Centers) are non-profit, community-owned health centers which operate in areas where care is needed but availability is low. We address barriers to care such as cost, transportation, and language.  

Our center is affiliated with the Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS), one of the largest social services organizations in the Southeast with the capacity to serve immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities. While we have been providing community outreach health services since 1980, in 2013 we developed our independent health center to provide comprehensive primary care. We also link our patients to useful social services through this partnership. 

As with many community health centers, through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), we have been granted medical malpractice liability protection with the Federal government acting as our primary insurer. We can therefore assure that we adhere to the highest standards of care, quality improvement, and compliance. We are governed by a diverse Board of Directors that is composed of patients themselves.
